Specially Selected Pork

The strict controls covering the production of Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb also apply to Scottish pork.  Only pork sourced from businesses who are members of Quality Meat Scotland's Assurance Scheme is eligible to carry the Specially Selected mark.

The Assurance Scheme covers the chain of businesses involved in the production of pork, from the farm gate to the consumer's plate.

Scottish pig farmers, feeds companies, auction markets, hauliers and processors all work together to produce the excellent tasting pork customers want to eat .

If you are interested in contacting a company to find out more about buying Specially Selected Pork, click Exporters on the drop down menu.
