Appointment of Chair and Board Members
Quality Meat Scotland

Scottish Ministers are seeking to appoint a new Chair and at least four new Board members for Quality Meat Scotland, the body responsible for the development, marketing and promotion of the Scottish red meat industry.

This dynamic organisation undertakes a challenging workload on behalf of the Scottish red meat industry with a small, committed team of staff working closely with the Board to deliver an ambitious programme of activity.

The Chair appointment will be made on a fixed term basis of up to four years and will commence in April 2011.

Board members will be appointed on rotation to regularly refresh the Board with an immediate vacancy to be filled later this year, other applicants will also be selected and invited to join the Board in either April 2011 or on a deferred basis, at the discretion of Scottish Ministers.
