Health and Education

The QMS Health and Education Team work closely with organisations such as the Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET), the Winning Scotland Foundation in the Champions in Scotland initiative and the Scottish Food and Drink Federation (SFDF).

The Health and Education Team are developing a new education resource called Farming Foodsteps: Exploring the red meat journey.  The resource will be ready for the new academic year.  In the meantime we have created a game called Know your Cuts.  See if you can match the cuts of meat to the correct part of the cow, sheep or pig.  Knowing where your meat comes from can help you match the correct cut to the right recipe and create mouth-watering dishes. Click here to  play.

We also work with Schools, under the 'Scotch Kitchen in Schools' banner to ensure that the facts about eating red meat as part of a healthy, balanced diet are communicated to pupils and teachers alike.
