Cowdenbeath Lidl Shoppers Treated to Scotch Beef and Haggis Burgers

Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) was at Lidl’s Cowdenbeath store recently to mark its opening day by handing out samples of their Burns’ Night Scotch Beef PGI and Haggis Burgers.

The recipe, which heroes Scotch Beef, was created to put a special twist on the classic Burns’ Night dinner of haggis, neeps and tatties. The samples were served to happy shoppers along with a delicious caramelised red onion chutney.

QMS was offering shoppers the tasty Burns’ Night alternative as part of Lidl’s celebration of the Cowdenbeath store being the company’s 100th in Scotland.  The first 100 shoppers on the day were also offered a free goody bag when they entered the store.

Kirsty Fox,  Marketing Manager at Quality Meat Scotland, said: “We were delighted to treat Lidl’s Cowdenbeath customers to our special Burns’ Night Scotch Beef and Haggis Burgers as part of their 100th store celebrations.

“Lidl are proud supporters of Scottish suppliers and stock a range of different Scotch Beef PGI products.  We hope that by letting shoppers sample our Burns’ recipe it will encourage them to buy Scotch products in future which are known for their high quality and great taste.”
