New Marketing Executive Joins QMS

A new marketing executive with a passion for helping develop Scotland’s food and drink sector has joined the team at Quality Meat Scotland.

Jack Broussine has taken over the reins from Gordon Sloan and will be leading the Specially Selected Pork campaigns as well as looking after the public procurement sector and independent retailers.

Prior to joining QMS, Jack’s career has involved developing and delivering marketing and business development strategies for a number of high profile food and hospitality businesses including Nick Nairn Consultancy and Hilton Worldwide. He has also worked on various projects for Scottish Enterprise.

Laurent Vernet, head of marketing for Quality Meat Scotland, said: “Jack was a strong candidate for the role as, on top of his academic record, he’d also gained a great deal of experience in the food sector, and particularly in the marketing of Scottish food.

“As well as his professional strengths, he also showed a strong personal interest in good food, both its production and provenance, as well as food preparation which also made him a great fit for this role.”

Jack’s foodie credentials also include regular contributions to the Taste of Glasgow blog, a lively guide to the city’s gastronomic highlights.

Jack said: "I am delighted to be embarking on this new challenge with Quality Meat Scotland. The Scottish red meat industry is one that offers the consumer fantastic quality produce while also being incredibly important to Scotland's culture and economy.

“I’m looking forward to working with those involved at every step of the production chain."
