“The fantastic reputation which Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb have, particularly in Belgium, was great to experience at an important event like this,” said Huub Schoemaker, QMS Export Development Manager, Benelux.

“A number of new opportunities were identified during the course of the event, including new Belgian customers keen to import Scotch Beef who held very positive discussions with the Scottish exporters present.”

The four main cuts which are particularly sought after in  Belgium are fillet, sirloin, cube roll and cote a los (rib roast).  However, there is also strong demand for other cuts like knuckles, topside and silverside from the Netherlands.
