Specially Selected Pork BBQ Campaign Gets Underway

Quality Meat Scotland today (Friday May 13th) launched an in-store and on-line campaign to urge consumers to make the most of Specially Selected Pork during the BBQ season.

The campaign, which will run for a month, urges people to “Make Your Mark on the BBQ by serving up Specially Selected Pork.”

The campaign will see Specially Selected Pork brand ambassadors making their appearance in the aisles of major retailers throughout Scotland including Asda, Tesco and J Sainsbury.

As part of the campaign a brand new guide for shoppers packed with top BBQ tips has been developed by Quality Meat Scotland. This free publication includes advice on how to BBQ pork to perfection and impress friends and family and is packed with recipes and marinating suggestions.

“Barbeques can be great fun and a fantastic way to relax with friends and enjoy the Scottish outdoors at its best,” said Jack Broussine, Marketing Executive, Quality Meat Scotland.

“There are, however, inevitably challenges along the way and our new guide should help to provide straightforward advice on how to get the most from BBQ experience and avoid any faux pas!

“By choosing to cook with Specially Selected Pork consumers can take some of the uncertainty out of the end result as they can be assured of the very high quality of the product which is underpinned by world-leading quality assurance.

“Pork is also a very versatile meat, simple to cook with and an ideal choice for BBQs over the coming months,” Mr Broussine added.
